POTTER, Joseph & Thankful (Bradley)

Joseph Potter was the son of Joseph & Mary (Sherman) Potter. He married Thankful Bradley, daughter of Joseph and Anna (Heaton) Bradley.

All of the children of Joseph & Thankful Potter were baptised 8 January 1743/44, after Joseph’s death.

JOSEPH POTTER was born 15 March 1701/02 in New Haven, CT, and died 1743.  He married THANKFUL BRADLEY 11 March 1728/29 in New Haven, CT, daughter of JOSEPH BRADLEY and ANNA HEATON.  She was born 17 March 1703/04, and died 4 November 1789. The Children of JOSEPH POTTER and THANKFUL BRADLEY are:

i.    JOSEPH POTTER, b. 6 August 1730; d. 10 April 1800; m. JEMIMA SMITH, 26 April 1759.
ii.    TIMOTHY POTTER, b. 12 February 1731/32, New Haven, CT; d. 24 October 1799; m. (1) KETURAH; d. Abt. 1838; m. (2) ESTHER MIX, 15 February 1756, New Haven, CT; b. 22 November 1732; m. (3) SUSANNA PUNDERSON, 2 August 1768, New Haven, CT; b. 16 August 1744.
iii.    TITUS POTTER, b. 1 April 1734.
iv.    PHILEMON POTTER, b. 31 March 1737, New Haven, CT; d. 11 January 1817; m. PHEBE MANSFIELD, 13 August 1761, New Haven, CT; b. Abt. 1740; d. 2 May 1809.
v.    BETTY POTTER, b. Abt. 1739; d. 4 February 1799; m. (1) EZRA DORMAN; m. (2) MICHAEL GILBERT, 26 April 1759.
